Post Injury treatment
Many people spend years suffering with unnecessary aches, pains and tension following accidents and sports injuries. Back pain, neck ache and migraines are just some of the many symptoms that can relate to previous injuries. These symptoms can encroach on daily life and many find they have to take painkillers on a regular basis.
By taking painkillers people are generally masking the symptoms of an underlying issue and in some cases prolonging the recovery from the injury by not taking appropriate action to rehabilitate.
However there is another way foward and thats with sports massage and deep tissue therapy, using specific massage techniques such as soft tissue release, friction and trigger point therapy. These techniques can help reduce information, scar tissue and knots that are contained in the muscle tissue. By reducing these it can allow the muscle function to return to a normal range.
Qualifications & Background
Annette began her holistic career by training in Swedish Body Massage in 2006 from that time she worked as the in house therapist for a Chiropractic Clinic located in Stockport. During that time she gained alot of experience working with clients who suffered with back and neck pain.
Through this and personal experience of injuries following a car crash Annette became more interested in injury treatment, rehabilitation and prevention which lead her to train in Sports Therapy.
Working in the health sector also encouraged her to approach all round health in a holistic manner, bringing her to realise that it is not only body but mind and spirit that require care too. After having treatment herself she trained as a Reflexologist in 2008 and then to add an extra level of understanding and healing to her treatments she trained as a Reiki Practitioner in 2009.
Annette says – ” Working as a therapist encouraged me to look further into other alternative treatments and the benefits they can provide to peoples health and wellbeing. This encouraged me to train as a reflexologist and reiki practitioner. I am now a Reiki Master/Teacher and love every aspect of my job and how I can help improve peoples health and lifestyles.”
