Pain management -EFT

What is EFT?

EFT is one of the new Energy psychology techniques and is like acupuncture but without the needles.EFT is a simple procedure that stimulates well-established meridian points on your body by tapping them with your fingertips.

EFT works on the statement thats “the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system”. Properly applied, EFT quickly and safely balances the energy meridians with respect to these negative memories, without the need to relive them.

EFT is a non-invasive, gentle approach which effectively neutralises the initial emotional response by eliminating the energy distribution. Once the disruption is balanced, the negative feeling is eliminated, as is the physical discomfort associated with it in most cases.

I felt I couldn’t talk to anyone about it and it this catalogue of events gradually took its toll on me

Where did EFT Come from?

EFT was introduced in 1995 by Stanford Engineering graduate Gary Craig who has been interested in personal improvement and psychology since the age of 13.

Unlike other energy healing methods, EFT incorporates an emotional element to the healing process, addressing unresolved emotional issues as a likely cause of physical disease, psychological dysfunction and personal performance limits.

If we look at the EFT discovery statement:-

“The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy field”

We understand that negative emotional experiences disrupt the energy meridians that run through our body, and the physical changes that we feel from these disruptions, like nausea or anxiety, become attached to the memory of that experience and effect the way we see the world……until we heal that disruption.

Properly applied EFT quickly realigns the energy meridians with respect to negative memories, disconnects the physical discomfort that we attach to it, and quite often can remove the resulting symptom.
