Douglas Craddock – Hypnotherapist & Autogenic Specialist
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation. Your subconscious, the controller of all automatic processes and reactions can be put into use to improve one’s general well being and functioning so that one feels better both physically and mentally.
Benefits of Hypnotherapy
There are many benefits including:
- The control and even elimination of psychosomatic disease
- Improved concentration
- Reprogramming of your mind for success
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Ridding you of bad and unhealthy habits
What is Autogenic Therapy
These exercises usually bring about profound physical relaxation and state of inner peace and calm. Repetition of the formulae induces a switching off of the body’s stress responses. A variety of changes in physical function and brain-wave activity can be measured during autogenic practice, showing that a normalising process takes place. This allows the mind/body system to tap into its own self-curative processes. The techniques is often described as a “meditation suitable for westernised cultures”. The exercises require little expenditure of time, use straightfoward language, follow a logical progression and do not rely on any pre-existing belief patterns.
Benefits of Autogenic Therapy
- Emotional Stability
- Coping ability
- Well-being
- Peace of mind tolerance of stress
- Calmness
- Enjoyment of life
Background
Douglas began his training in hypnosis in 1992 and has continued to expand his knowledge ever since.
In 1995, he studied with the Soothsayer Foundation, a training school under The World Institute of Professional Hypnotherapists (WIPH). Douglas took the opportunity to train with Ursula Markham – a renowned hypnotherapist and author and founder of the Hypnothink Foundation.
Douglas offers a range of specialist services including self-hypnosis for childbirth to reduce pain and emotional freedom technique, which helps patients get over traumatic experiences.
Qualifications
Douglas qualified as a hypnotherapist in November of 1997 and then took advance qualifications in January 1999.
Douglas can also include membership of The Association for the Advancement of Meridian Therapies (A.A.M.T). He is also qualified to advance level in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
In December 2006 Douglas trained and qualified under European Institute of Forensic Hypnosis (EIFH). He now offers a specialist service utilising this technique, which helps victims of crime recall incidents to aid legal cases.
Douglas says:
“I started studying hypnosis for my own personal benefit, without a thought that I would become a full-time therapist. However, my years of study and practical experience have shown me that this is a powerful tool if used correctly. For this reason I want to use my knowledge to help people overcome their problems and meet their objectives.”
