Can any one achieve Hypnosis? Most people may, providing (a) they wish to be hypnotised and (b) they understand the things they need to do in order to achieve the hypnotic state.
Can I be hypnotised against my will?
No one can be hypnotised unless they actively wish to enter the state of hypnosis.
How successful is hypnotherapy?
That can depend on a number of things but the rapport between the client and the therapist is the most important factor, the type of problem and how deep rooted it has become.
Are there any side effects?
Yes, improved sleep states and relief from tension.
Will I be unconscious?
No, not all. You will be in full control and aware of what is going on all the time.
How much will it cost?
Charges can vary depending on location. All I can say is never visit a therapist who charges for a block sessions. Take one at a time and agree a rate per session.
What can I expect to happen?
One of the most important is that you ca expect to feel comfortable and at ease with the therapist, as this is very important in hypnotherapy because the value of the treatment is enhanced when you have confidence in the practitioner. It is for this reason most people book a consultation to discuss the issue, and then decide if they wish to proceed. Some people require a course of therapy. At no time will you undertake a prolonged course of therapy. At no time will you undertake a prolonged course once your treatment is successful.
