Dr McDonald is a Clinical Psychologist, specialising in Neuropsychology. Over the last 14 years, she has worked within a number of specialisms within the NHS, charity and private sectors, including: Adult Mental Health, Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Cancer and Persistent Pain. The focus of Dr McDonald’s work has predominantly involved working with individuals presenting with complex physical and neuropsychological health difficulties, offering in depth assessment, formulation and intervention to support individuals, family members and professionals.

Dr McDonald adopts a holistic and integrative approach to help individuals manage the cognitive and/or psychological impact of adverse life events in a tailored manner. Specifically, she has completed a post graduate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology and also training in EMDR for the treatment of trauma and PTSD, alongside further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
