Understanding Child mental health
North West Children's Therapy
North West Children's Therapy services provide a range of services for children, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Play Therapy helps children to make sense of their feelings when they get upset, confused or experience traumatic events. During a process between the child and the therapist, the child explores at their own pace those issues, whether past or present, conscious or unconscious, that are impacting on their life.
Play Therapy has been shown to be effective in helping children modify their behaviours, clarify their self-concept and build healthy relationships.
We offer child, adolescent and family therapeutic services provided by a BAPT/ HCPC registered play therapist and Social Worker. Sessions for individuals and groups can be provided in clinic, schools and other community settings.
A range of therapies can be provided including Play Therapy, creative therapy and Dyadic Therapy (Parent Child) and Interpersonal psychotherapy. Please contact us to find out more and how we can help your child.
