Soothe the body and calm the mind

Established 2009 yoga2calm aimed to provide a service to individuals & groups who would otherwise be unable to access the benefits of yoga & mindfulness.

Yoga for children & families including those affected by disability

” kay has been creative & patient to make the sessions workable for my family & our needs. The use of feathers, whistles & balloons ( not things I would have associated with quiet calm yoga) to teach us about breathing was really clever. She has also provided material for my daughter to practice at home which she loves” Sarah Mullen (parent)

Prenatal Yoga

” No matter how tired I am it re-energises me! you are encouraged to participate as much as or as little as you are able to do and nothing is felt to be a success or a failure. The whole mood is positive, gentle and relaxing” K.G Stockport

Yoga for Special Needs

Since our service users have been attending have been attending the yoga sessions they have gained in confidence, learned how to relax with breathing techniques, learned new ways of moving in which strengthens the muscles and core stability, to also work together as a team, they are understanding the importance of movement and have become extremely well with all who attend and is adapted for our service users so all can learn at there own place. I personally feel that each member of the yoga group has progressed extremely well and they are all confident, happy and want to learn more. Big thank you to kay for supporting all who attend the yoga session as they all enjoy the group.Tracy Walker Irwin, Support Worker Supervisor.
